email from my poetry professor; "A Conversation...
"I believe you taught one of my former poetry students," I said.
"Who?" she said.
"Kenzie Allen," I said.
"Very bright girl," she said. "Is she still applying to MFA programs?" she said.
"I don't know," I said. "I think her parents are trying to convince her to do something more practical," I said.
"Kenzie Allen doesn't strike me as a practical girl," she said.
